    World’s nuclear experts hold emergency meeting on Doel 3

    Today, 31 experts from countries including the United States, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom, will meet to assess the problems concerning the reactor core tanks produced by the Dutch Group, Rotterdam Drydock. The tanks are installed in 22 nuclear power stations worldwide, including Belgium’s Doel 3, where power generation was suspended at the end of July after cracks were detected.

    Amiens sends political shockwave

    France’s left-wing government remains hesitant over how to react to the riots in Amiens in the north of the country during the nights of August 13 and 14, which resulted in 16 police officers being injured and several buildings being set ablaze. The new administration appears to be struggling to distinguish itself from its right-wing predecessor on the fight against delinquency as well as on the issue of Roma migrants.
