Founded in 1931 in Madras, the Indian Express (not to be confused with its competitor The New Indian Expressis one of India's major English language dailies. The politically moderate newspaper, which is controlled by a press group of the same name, moved to New Delhi in 1953. It publishes a wide range of local editions.
