Founded in 1910 by a group of liberal editors, Norra Västerbotten ("Northern Västerbotten") is the main newspaper of the city of Skellefteå in the north-east Västerbotten region. For its 2010 centenary it changed its name to Norran ("Northern"). It is managed by the Skelleftepress foundation.
