The Jerusalem Post
Initially called The Palestine Post when it was founded in 1932 by editor and future mayor of Jerusalem Gershon Agron, The Jerusalem Post enjoyed, until 1989, a reputation for independence and seriousness. After a political swing to the right in the 1990s, the daily newspaper now defends a line close to the conservatives, although it welcomes opinion pieces from all shades of the political spectrum.
