Adrian Severin
Adrian Severin (b. 1954), is a Romanian MEP, a socialist member of the Commission of Foreign Affairs and a delegate for relations with Albania, Bosina-Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo. A former Romanian minister of Foreign Affairs (1996-97), he has written for a number of publications, including Jurnalul national and Foreign Policy.
On 22 July, the International Court of Justice ruled that the independence of the former Yugoslav province does not violate international law. For Europe, the future of this quasi-fictive state remains a geopolitical headache.
