Bjørn Lomborg
Bjørn Lomborg (b. 1965) is a Danish author, academic, and environmental writer. He is an adjunct professor at the Copenhagen Business School and director of the Copenhagen Consensus Centre. He became internationally known for his best-selling and controversial book The Skeptical Environmentalist. In 2008 he was named "one of the 50 people who could save the planet" by UK Guardian.
The EU's 20/20/20 policy, which aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions to 20 per cent below 1990 levels by 2020, will cost billions but be of very little benefit in the fight against climate change, argues Bjørn Lomborg.
