Traian Danciu
Born in Brasov in central Romania in 1970, Traian Danciu now lives in Cologne, Germany, where he works as an advisor on East-European literature for the Tropen publishing house.
On completion of his studies at the Ruprecht Karl University of University of Heidelberg and the University of Bari, Italy, he began his career writing for cultural magazines, and German and Romanian daily newspapers, including Evenimentul Zilei. He is the author of several books, which have been published in Germany and Romania, and a personal poetry blog.
While Europe’s leaders are having trouble selling an EU constitution to an increasingly wary population, an artists’ collective has decided to rewrite the document in sometimes surreal verse, writes Traian Danciu.
