Javier Valenzuela
Javier Valenzuela (b. 1954) is a Spanish journalist and writer. He has been with El País since 1982, as their correspondent in Beirut, Rabat, Paris and Washington, and then as Deputy Director from 1993 to 1995. From 2004 to 2006 he was also Director General of International Information in the cabinet of former Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero. He is author of several books on current national and international politics and writes a blog on crime fiction.
