Alina Bădălan Turcitu
Alina Badalan Turcitu (b. 1981) initially wanted to teach Romanian. This “journalist by mistake”, as she describes herself, learned the ropes at the daily Adevarul in 2003. She now works for the society section of the daily Gândul and admits that “every assignment gives her a hollow, wrenching feeling in the gut”.
