Jindřich Šídlo
Jindřich Šídlo is a Czech journalist (b. 1972.) and editor for the national pages of Hospodářské noviny. In the 1990s he worked as an editor at the weekly Respekt and from 2001-2005 was a member of the Mladá Fronta DNES editorial board, before joining Hospodářské noviny. From 2009 to 2011 he ran national news coverage on Czech public television.
The former Czech president did not seek power for power’s sake, but became indispensable during the next twenty-two years of his country’s post-communist development. A tribute from Prague daily Hospodářské noviny after his death on December 18th.
