Guido Rossi
A professor of law, Italian lawyer Guido Rossi (b. 1931) was an independent senator for the centre-left from 1987 to 1992. Previously president of CONSOB, the Italian stock market authority, he has also worked as advisor to various public and private organizations, including ABN-AMRO bank and FIAT.

Governments of “experts” proposed in Italy and Greece could be good at taking emergency decisions, but would deepen European citizens’ diffidence towards ever more indirect democracy. To avoid this, politics must reclaim its role.
